The healing hour

The Healing Hour is an opportunity for people in the community, as well as members of the Kings congregation, to gather in the Centre for an hour and to receive ministry for healing of body, soul and spirit.

These hours are simply, relaxing and non-threatening. The Healing Hour does not follow a 'normal' church meeting pattern.

This short, simple and non-religious event provides a comfortable, non-threatening environment which is appreciated by first time visitors as well as others who come to draw for the Lord's presence on a regular basis. Some who come for physical help come to faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

The hour begins with a welcome and a short explanation of what is likely to take place. There is a 10-minute 'faith word' from the Bible followed by the playing of a suitable healing song. Thereafter and for the rest of the hour those present are encouraged to draw for the very real presence of the Lord, which always attends these healing sessions.

There is a team of prayer ministries who offer to pray for individuals and to minister by the laying on of hands.

The hour concludes with testimonies of what God has done during the session Announcements are given and there is an availability of Prayer Cloths, which can be taken to friends not present.

Those present are invited to remain for refreshments in the adjoining 'sitting room'.

Many people have told of healings they have enjoyed, and improvements in conditions, some quite remarkable. Some healings have been instant, others progressive.

The sessions are arranged during certain months of the year.

Prayer for healing also takes place at the end of the weekly church Celebration services, which are held each Sunday, starting at 6pm.
